An Amazing thing happened today as a result of an Inspiring Hope Story the beginning of this month about Annalise Bohm. What inspires me about what I am going to tell you is that my own daughter took it upon herself to send an e-mail to the KU Soccer Coach to see if they might do something nice for Annalise. Ashlyn knew that Annalise loves soccer and loves KU, so she got this bold idea to look up the e-mail address and let them know that she had a friend in need. To see my teen daughter go out of her way to do something nice for someone, just brings me to tears and I’m not talking about the sad, boo hoo kind of tears, I’m talking happy tears. So when I received an e-mail earlier this week explaining that my daughter had made this big request and they were excited to tell me that they wanted to invite Annalise to join the KU Girls soccer team watch the US Soccer Team play today in the World Cup game against Germany, I was completely blown out of the water! Today they rolled out the red carpet for Annalise and gave her a KU Soccer Jersey with her name on the back of it. She got to each lunch with the team and watch the game with them. This really lifted her spirits! I wish I could tell you that Annalise isn’t still in pain, but she is, so please continue to pray for her! I did want you to know that your cards and acts of kindness are making a difference! Most of all, I wanted to say, God Bless You for being the hands and feet of Jesus to this sweet family!
