Kindness is a little word that goes a long way when we choose to scatter it to the people God’s places in our path. It takes such a small amount of effort, but it goes a long way. A smile, a word of encouragement, helping someone in need, sending a card in the mail, leaving a phone message, or even a text are examples of little things that mean a lot to a person that may need a lift in their day. It Inspires Hope into the life you touch, and creates a chain reaction, a pay it forward spirit so to speak. Have you ever been the recipient of a random act of kindness or on the receiving end of someone going out of their way to do something kind for you? How did you feel as a result? My bet would be that you walked away from the experience feeling like you just received a “Hug from Heaven.” Did you realize that God uses his people to help others needing him in their life to catch a glimpse of what it’s like to experience his love? When we look at life this way, we have the opportunity every day to show love and kindness through our actions. So it’s time for a reality check…would the people in your life say that you are a blessing to them? Would they say that you help them see the lemonade in their lemons of life, that your smile, listening, or caring heart helps them to see that God is with them, a sign from him that he is putting people in their life to cheer them on! So here’s my challenge for you this week…your challenge, should you choose to accept it, is to look for opportunities to show kindness at least once a day. Get creative with it, have fun, put on your “I Spy” glasses and look for someone that needs a lift. My hope is that this challenge will create in you a spirit that is always looking for little ways to cultivate kindness to the people you come in contact with each day. (Please post how you are scattering kindness in the comment section or on my Facebook Page, Heidi Pitman.) Enjoy!
An Inch of Inspiration on Kindness

Three small children were sitting by me on the couch @ church! I started talking to them & asking them questions! Out of the blue this little boy hopped in my lap & started hugging & kissing me on the cheek! His mom came over ! Said she had never seen him do anything like that with someone he didn’t know! Guess we were both blessed yesterday!
I think he saw the love in your heart!
My goal is to live by Proverbs 15:1 A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger. This is a challenge for me when someone is not kind to me.
