Courage is word that I think we all want to be used to describe how we faced life in this world. Personally, I love stories of people facing their fears and going for it anyway. It is my heart’s desire to courageously walk forward in faith, following the path that God lays before me and being brave enough to step out and pursue God’s plans and purposes for my life. I want to encourage you to do the same.
A year ago, God gave me the courage to take a risk to launch this website. I had wrestled with Him for years, knowing that He wanted me “Inspire Hope” in the lives of His people. For the longest time, I let my fears keep me from moving forward in faith. I was worried about what other people would think. Would they question my intentions and think I was trying to make myself famous instead of making God famous? I wondered whether I would be able to do what God was calling me to do? I knew it would take time to do what He was calling me to do and that it would require some sacrifice on my part. When it finally came down to it, God made it so obvious to me that if I didn’t do it, then I would not be obedient to the calling that He had clearly given me.
So what about you, where is God calling you to be courageous? Do you need to love somebody that doesn’t love you back? Do you need to go to get your finances in order, but you’re afraid to find out how bad your financial state really is? Do you need to leave the comfort of your current career to follow your God-sized dream? Maybe you need to work through some things in your marriage and have the courage to talk about it with your spouse or maybe you have a health challenge and you’re not sure what is around the bend for your life? It takes courage to walk forward in faith, trusting and believing that God will sustain you, giving you the strength you need every step of the way, every day of your life. With God’s help, you can live your life with courage! I am praying for you today; that you will ask God to help you to be courageous. You can do this; I believe in you and more importantly, God is for you and can help you face life with COURAGE.
Wow … just what I needed! Thanks Heidi!
